Four Weeks. Four Bags. One Serious Upgrade to Your Bag-Making Skills.

Ready to take your bag-making skills to the next level? This four-week hands-on sewing experience designed for makers who want to spend more time at the machine, learn new construction techniques, and leave with a collection of bags they’re actually excited to use.

Over the course of four 3-hour classes, we’ll create four different bag projects, each designed to introduce or strengthen different bag-making skills and techniques.

WHO IS BAG MAKING CAMP FOR?

This camp is ideal for confident beginners and intermediate sewists who have basic sewing machine knowledge and are ready to explore bag construction.

This is not a “watch me sew while you take notes” kind of class. You’ll be at your machine, sewing your own bag, with hands-on instruction and guidance throughout the process.

By the end of four weeks, you’ll have four finished bags and much more confidence behind the machine.

THE PLAN

🧵 Week 1: Oversized Drawstring Tote Bag
We’ll kick things off with a fun and functional drawstring bag while learning techniques that can be applied to future bag projects.

🧵 Week 2: Six Pocket Tote Bag
A roomy, versatile tote that is practical and stylish. This project gives you the opportunity to work on construction, finishing techniques while creating a beautifully structured everyday bag.

🧵 Week 3: Mini Market Tote
We’ll wrap up camp with a mini version of a market-style tote. This project is a great way to put the skills you’ve developed throughout camp to work while creating a bag you’ll want to carry everywhere.

🧵 Week 4: Boxy Bag
Time to add some dimension! And also get some practice with zippers. We’ll create a boxy bag while working through techniques for shaping, construction, and creating that signature boxy silhouette.
