This sew session is a group based instruction perfect starting point for anyone new to sewing. Whether you’ve never touched a machine or just need a refresher, this hands-on course will teach you the fundamentals—machine operation, essential tools, and key techniques for sewing with accuracy and confidence. Each week builds your skills through fun, beginner-friendly projects like coasters, pillowcases, and sewing machine covers.

Monthly Enrollment
Enrollment operates on a month-to-month basis, allowing students to continue in the track until they feel prepared to advance. Most students need 6-10 weeks, depending on attendance, practice time, and individual skill development to progress pass the beginner stage, where then we will get to work on student lead projects.Â
Classes are designed to be fun, hands-on, and tailored to each student’s skill level and goals.
Students will be guided through the essential building blocks of sewing in a structured, supportive studio environment. Instruction focuses on safety, machine confidence, terminology, fabric knowledge, and core construction skills.
Students can expect hands-on practice with:

Sewing machine operation, threading, tension adjustment, and stitch selection

Straight, zigzag, and curved stitching with control and consistency

Proper cutting, pressing, marking, and seam allowance accuracy

Understanding fabric types, grainlines, and basic interfacing

Reading and interpreting simple sewing patterns

Completing beginner-friendly projects such as small accessories
Projects are designed to reinforce technique, not just produce a finished item. Accuracy and understanding are prioritized over speed.
